Proposition A will be on your November 2022 ballot. The bond proposition, which totals $20 million, provides funding to protect the Guadalupe River, our aquifer and groundwater supply, wildlife habitat, and working ranches and agricultural lands. These necessary bond funds will protect Kendall County’s drinking water sources and preserve our quality of life by protecting our last remaining natural areas and wildlife habitat before they are lost to development forever.

HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST?

The County’s outside financial advisor has calculated the estimated maximum annual increase at $27 per year, or just $2.25 per month, for the average homeowner in Kendall County.

These funds may be matched with grants, private donations and other funding sources to amplify their benefit to Kendall County citizens. Additionally, long-term maintenance costs for natural, open-space areas are typically very low.
